Re: [Wireless] WRT54G v5 - hard to access T-Mobile website Blackeyed, Pushing the reset button for 1 second didn't help... I have to mention that i am back to firmware v1.00.4 at the moment, because i couldn't connect to my server using RDP when v1.00.6 was installed. (mind you that i use RDP LOCALLY!! not via internet).
I will try pushing the reset button again when i install v1.00.6 again to see if portforwarding/DMZ/RDP are going to work then... |

 | You'll need to push the reset button for longer than 1 seconds. Just hold it down until the Power LED start to flash and no longer than that (or you will be put into Management Mode...).
You'll need to re-enter your settings after this procedure. |

 | I've got it working now!
I started with firmware 1.00.4: - Reset Factory defaults - Firmware upgrade to 1.00.6 - Reset Factory default (yes.. again) - Adjust all settings as needed - Power off (remove power plug) - Power on (insert power plug)
Any of these steps was needed to get it working.
Does anyone have any figures about the upload-speeds the v5 can do? I have the idea that it's slow at the moment.. (my connection should do 1 Mbps upload, but when i download (http download) it's doesn't do anything better then 10 KB/sec. ) |

kmoffat join:2006-01-02 Federal Way, WA | Frankly I've about had it. I purchased this wrt54g thinking it ran linux, and have not been happy with the performance on my qwest dsl line. Now reading all these threads about problems, and the new firmware not fixing these problems in some/most? of these cases. What the heck is going on? How can linksys release such a product? How do I get my money back, considering I've had it for 90 days? Ach! |
