PAP2 - Change default ring tone/pattern?I've got a couple of PAP2's connected and working with FWD, standard analog phones connected.
Is there a way to change a parameter within the PAP2 such that the default ring pattern is different from the current out-of-the-box ring tone/pattern? |

Goto Reginal Tab, Distinctive Ring Patterns section and change Ring1 Cadence.
The format is : (how long will ring in seconds(on seconds/off seconds[,on seconds/off seconds]...). On seconds and Off Seconds sequence will repeat for how long will ring
This is an example taken from Sipura Admin Guide:
Example 2: Distinctive Ring (short,short,short,long)
60(.2/.2,.2/.2,.2/.2,1/4)
Number of Cadence Sections = 1 Cadence Section 1: Section Length = 60s Number of Segments = 4 Segment 1: On=0.2s, Off=0.2s Segment 2: On=0.2s, Off=0.2s Segment 3: On=0.2s, Off=0.2s Segment 4: On=1.0s, Off=4.0s
Total Ring Length = 60s

Thanks Juan, works perfect ! Just copied the Ring5 cadence up to the Ring1 cadence. Now I can make some sense of the multiple phones on my desk. |

You don't really need to copy from ring5 to ring1. Just go to User 1 tab, Ring Settings section and set Default Ring: to 5 and thats it.

How can I set a different ring for line 2, so that I know which line is ringing before I answer ? I'd like each line on my PAP2 to have a different ring tone. |

Towards the bottom of the "User 1/2" pages of my Sipuras, there is a parameter named "Default Ring." It's a drop-down menu that lets you pick eight different rings. Presumably your PAP2 has the same setting. |

True, but the PAP2 and SPA2000 each have 2 lines. I would like each to have a distinctive ring. The User 1 setting only changes 1 line. Does User 2 change line 2? |
