brandon : jbaird, you should probably start your own thread to begin your troubleshooting process.

That said, your stats, while not beautiful, are certainly well within spec. That's not to say that they were not out of spec when you were on fastpath, however. You could call and have your line put back on fastpath and you might be ok, but if ping time is not terribly important to you, you should have a pretty stable connection as it stands right now.

brandon : Furthermore, even on interleave, your SN margin is at the very bottom end of specification (6.0) and your Attenuation is out of spec at 61. If you go back to Fastpath from interleave, you're almost assuredly not going to hold sync.

Interleave is the source of your high pings, but you need to find the source of your bad line stats. I would check your stats at the NID to make sure you don't have an inside wiring issue that can be resolved. If the stats are similar, your best bet honestly is to downgrade to Ultra service. It will be more stable, and at that point you might be able to get back on fastpath.

Abix : Cliff notes: You can get a BS tech to switch back to fastpath, but unless you like calling BS every other day, you stuck with interleaved.

Long version: Oh, and one other thing. At a few points, I called up Bellsouth and by asking multiple times I was able to talk to an intelligent technician who knew what fastpath/interleaved is and got the smart tech to switch me back to fastpath. However, it only stayed at fastpath until I encountered too many errors, and I lost connection.

At that point(and this is whats important), when my DSL modem when to reconnect, it automagically went back to interleaved.

Abix : It seems as if youre having the same issue I was had/have. I was on the Ultra(1.5Mbit) service, then upgrade to (3.0Mbit). Shortly after, I was automatically moved from FastPath to Interleaved. To make a long story short, the quality of line coming to my house isnt good enough to handle 3.0Mbit speeds consistently without errors, so I am forced to use Interleaved and have high ping, or go back down to 1.5Mbit for lower ping. I decided to mostly quit gaming and keep the 3Mbit speed.

Unfortunately, if your issue is the same as mine, then theres nothing that you can do short of waiting for Bellsouth to upgrade the infrastructure in your area.

Cod : well, from your tracert, it definitely looks like your problem is to your first hop...You've got about a +/- 40ish ms ping to just the first hop which is way off base unless like someone else said- you've been somehow changed to interleave.

Have you had any problems with your DSL before this happened?
