Re: Why only series2? Cable HD and digital boxs have the advantage of closed hardware. They will not open the spec to Tivo and will not share the profits in a joint venture.
I am in the process of replacing my SA 8000 PVR with a MythTV box. The cable box is slow, the interface is horrible, the remote layout is non-intuitive and usually needs two hands. The cable company in my case can't get the schedule correct were as the Tivo schedule is rarely wrong. The two tuners was not enough to off set the problems for me so I am ditching it. |
