 | Ahhh yes, the Karaoke Channel by Sound Choice. Now being a person who knows a little bit about this channel, I would like to clear up just a few things to properly inform those of you who are interested.
Comcast's channel is FREE to those of you who have Comcast Digital Cable. You can find it under, the On Demand option, Life & Home, then Music, then Karaoke. After that, pick your genre and a song and sing away!!
I don't see DVR's becoming the next Karaoke Machine, but Sound Choice does offer a microphone with reverb and volume controls that you can connect to your entertainment system and sing WITH the music on the TV instead of AT the TV.
Though a lot of the HOLIDAY MUSIC is public domain songs, the rest of the 300 songs (and counting), are songs that are not only hits of the karaoke world, but in the music world as well, like "Sweet Home Alabama", "Tiny Dancer", "Fade", "Drift Away", "Car Wash", and "Oh, Girl". All great songs from 8 different genres of music. Classic Rock, Country, Modern Rock, Oldies, Pop, Rap/R&B, and Specialty. Plus that are more to come!!
Comcast launched this VOD feature a few months ago. They started off with about 300 songs, but that number will grow in the months to follow.
Most importantly, this is real karaoke, NOT MIDI. These songs sound like the originals, but with out the lead vocals.
Any questions? Feel free to ask!! |
