Re: Farewell to Broadbandreports.com said by Dread:Finally now I can poke fun at people calling it bbr said by Broadbandreports.com vs dslreports.com : Is dslreports.com still known as BBR then?
Since the logo will still show broadbandreports.com, and the URL broadbandreports.com will still be active (albeit, redirect), then BBR is still a valid tag for the site.

TzaleProud Libertarian ConservativePremium join:2004-01-06 NYC Metro | reply to Cudni I, like many others have always used dslreports.com. However, I really like the broadband reports name, it is just that I am not used to using it and I never really changed. But, Broadbandreports just "fits" this site much better than "dsl"reports. This is, after all, a broadband site and not a DSL site.
Glad to see the name ain't changing.

Actually I fully disagree with this. Your a big enough site and I'd almost bet a big enough Adsense revenue producer that you could in fact have an open discussion with Google in regards to this. Hopefully with them seeing the light and offering a solution to the issue. Considering that Google takes a cut of each Adsense click. Your making money for them as well. I've seen in the past that Google is very open to discussions with high revenue producers.
I've personally seen this situation recently. Although I don't feel it has harmed traffic in a significant way. My old blog url has now become my original domain name that I have had since 1999. The PageRank for the old blog domain was a 5. The old domain name that is being used for the blog now is at a 4. Now the blog content hasn't changed. So it would nice if the old domain url reflected the 5 PageRank.
I know many old schoolers here like the old DSLReports url. Personally I liked the BroadbandReports url. I felt it was more fitting with the content here.
The argument of having to type in the url is ridiculous. If you like this site enough to come here often. You should have the good sense to bookmark it. This alleviates any need to do any typing of either url.
