The highest FIOS package, comparable to iO Gold, will come in at under $80. Plus, I the set top boxes are $1 cheaper. However i dont have a High Def tv so I cannot comment on the offer on Dish vs. CV. I would be killed and chopped up by my kids if they ever thought i was going to get rid of Dish in favor of CV. CV is great for Internet and Tel service. The on demand thing is kool but you pay extra for it. So it all comes down to need. You state no need for a DVR and only one cable box. I do think the first box is free with CV so you could get DVR for free. Otherwise its 10 dollars per month.
