If the Cable Co. is Against It

Then it must be good for the consumer if you go with general Cableco logic. It just means THEY might lose revenue because people wont want a vast majority of the channels offered. Pricing for their service is only "elastic up" to a point at which people will not pay, but switch to another service

Watch what you wish for, the CableCos won't lose revenue at the end of the day, but you will see a drop in the variety of programming available.
