labsrus : As I'm on FiOS (happily) but had been an OOL customer for years I suggested a neighbor try OOL first at the new discounted rate ($23.95) if not happy the family has the opportunity to swap to FiOS as it's in my entire neighborhood giving them options. We went to the OOL site, plugged in their address (same street as mine) and it says it unavailable? They know more than half the people in the neighborhood that are using broadband are on OOL and almost the other half are on FiOS now so they knew it IS available.

End of story they ordered FiOS as their web page was accurate but why would OOL say it's not available when it is? Years ago it told me when it became available on this street. Someone made a boo boo but who knows how many others there are that are causing them to lose business. Just an FYI for whatever it's worth. I guess better to call?
