Best outcome is that those ISPs wake up and quit pretending to provide 'unlimited' service and instead use this as a tool to sell higher bandwidth (read:$$$) connections. In an uncharacteristic display of customer-centric behavior, my provider (SBC) is not playing that game and doesn't much care how much bandwidth you hog. They even allow servers on 'residential' connections.

It's going to take TiVo or something similar to get true VoD--independent of some cable company's marketing department--off the ground.
