Park Hills, MO | High pings at night for the past 2 months. Hi. I've had issues in the past with Charter and high pings. I gave it 2 months about and mostly at nights I get the dreaded high pings. They have to many people routed through an area or somethen. Either way I can only play at nights from about 8:30p.m. and thats when it all turns to crap. For the past while now the ip/node 68.112.12.252 / 68-112-12-252.dhcp.stls.mo.charter.com has been boinken hard. I spike from 80 to 600ms ping. It stays in the 300ms's for the most part. Its my first main hop also. Does anyone else have this issue with this hop and anything that MIGHT help the pings even out? Can charter reroute me through another hop or somethen? Please help me charter as I dont want to deal with this issue and I sure dont want to go to dsl, those fruitlooks don't know a ping from a basket of snakes.

| If you had a suffice amount of knowledge, you would have looked at all the other posts regarding high pings from charter. There is really nothing you can do about and it charter will not do anything about it. Many of us charter users have had problems like this for almost or more than a year. It appears that it will not be fixed anytime soon. |

i seem to be having the same problem, or similar. For me its from 2/3 pm - 12/1 am. during those time the gameplay are almost unplayable, not just that but the download speed was drops down 20kb/s to 50kb/s. Hope Charter will fix this sometimes soon  |

apply17 - Well if I wanted to read 40 billion messages I would have read them. I did in fact read SEVERAL. So your comment on suffitiant knowledge is lame and uncalled for. You could have stated your comment without the first sentence all together. Try to help instead of adding flames to somethen that is upsetting as this whole ping issue is.
eshiku - Its weird because some nights it will play ok. During the week mostly. Close to the weekend or the weekend itself is when it takes a dive. I would hate to hit up on dsl again as I serisoulsy HATE there support they have. Its more terrible than charter if you can believe that.

Park Hills, MO | Everynight I ping out of quake servers. Everynight now. Does Charter have to many people on one connection and when they all get online it eleminates online gameing when I can actualy play. Has anyeone else got this issue even close to me? St Louis is about 75 miles North of me and Im sure they have to be effected also. Just wondered if anyone else gets these issues at nighttime.

| Yeah I hear ya. I too have been having issues for a few weeks (2-3)now. I haven't said anything because it usually clears up in a couple of days. It does really start to grate on ya. I will most likely call support, but I don't want to make an appointment to have them come out or go through the remove router, reboot, etc. I can see where the problem is from my tracerts. Its been this way for awhile.
Why does this only happen at night?
Why is it when you call all they want to know is, "can you still get your email?"
I just want to be able to phucking play quake4 when I get off work in the evenings and thats when forty eleventeen people get on and surf there porn and causes the connection to crap out but they wont admit that at Charter at all.

Park Hills, MO | Please Charter HELP with the night terror pings!! Rediculous I say. Every night now its crap and I cannot play quake for nothing now. Today I got to play when no one was on hardly and certainly not my team. PLEASE CHARTER look into this.
