MaxoYour tax dollars at work.Premium,VIP join:2002-11-04 Tallahassee, FL | Visit Las Vegas soon. Need things to do. I will be there from Dec 18-24. I have my 4 and 1 year old coming along. If there is something you think is a must see or know of any great shows let me know. I plan on going to see Cirque du Soleil O already. I'm looking up shows now. |

| reply to Maxo Any cirque du Soleil show is worth seeing. I have not seen "O" yet, but have seen Mystere. It's mind-blowing. If you plan to bring your daughter, avoid "Zumanity". It's the erotic Circue show and I think you have to be 18 to get in anyway.
Since the kids are along, you'll probably want to plan some time at Circus Circus. They have an indoor amusement park.
Plan your days now, especially if you're getting tickets. Buy them now or they might be sold out when you get here. Vegas is famous for buffets, and it's pretty much a you get what you pay for type of thing. The more expensive the (non-discounted) buffet price, the better the food usually is, as well as more variety.
There is always something to do in Vegas. Where will you be staying? I'll be around if you want to meet up. It will be fin meeting a former Winter Park resident.
Also, Vegas.com has some good advice and can get you started on planning what you will do when here: »www.vegas.com/traveltips/ (especially the family page: »www.vegas.com/traveltips/guide/family.html ) -- Mospaw.com. -- |

I hope I won't be stuck out in Vegas. There's four of us flying, so just getting a ticket with another company won't be that easy (financially.) |

| Some times, when passengers are stranded due to a strike or other event that shuts down a major carrier like Delta, other major carriers might honor those tickets, at least in certain circumstances. Getting four might be a problem, though. I also know that Southwest doesn't participate in this. -- Mospaw.com. -- |

MaxoYour tax dollars at work.Premium,VIP join:2002-11-04 Tallahassee, FL | I just read an article saying other carriers may pick them up, but that there would probably be major bottle-necks in major places like Atlanta (where I'm flying out of and back to.) |

| Unfortunately, you're right. But Atlanta is the southeastern hub for Delta. It would be an ugly mess.
On the other hand, another carrier might route you through somewhere else like Dallas or even Chicago. -- Mospaw.com. -- |

MaxoYour tax dollars at work.Premium,VIP join:2002-11-04 Tallahassee, FL | reply to Maxo I just called Delta and they said that if a strike happened it wouldn't affect the flights, they would go on as planned. Something tells me this isn't accurate. I guess they'll just put the planes on autopilot. |
