| At least there is a dialtone... Rocketeers are quick to point out they have been meltdown, I mean upgrade, free for the most part since September. But there are a myriad of smaller little issues and outages that will really IMHO keep them from growing bigtime. They have a great feature set, when it works. They give you free phones, that you get to keep as a "reward" if you cancel the service. They now offer 15 month for $199, plus international allowances. One of the first things we learned in the restaurant business is to give away things to try to get people in the door when you really need them...
I would love to see what SR's retention is, and how many free phones/canceled accounts after a week or two they have.... |

 | What is indisputable is that broadvox and packetdirect still suck (as far as the ratings are concerned...) |

| reply to ptrowski on most systems, dialtone suggests that the phone's gonna work.
on SR, dialtone only means that the dialtone works.
it's just a tone. many times we have dialtone but calls still don't complete or arrive. -- Danieli Consulting LLC, Strategy and Branding »kdanieli.com |

 | LOL. That is so true. A dialtone just isn't a dialtone anymore!!!
And just now I was talking to someone for about 30 minutes (tech support call to someone else) and we came CLOSE to solving the problem and Sunrocket decided that I should get disconnected and get a BUSY tone. NICE!
Sunrocket is like a little kid. Little Johnny. He's not good at everything but he's trying. Go Johnny! You can do it!
Give it a year or two. |

 | reply to ptrowski I've been with them for a while now and can't complain too much. But I don't see the 15 month offer anywhere, is there a link? -- 4 More years and we won't have a country. |

 | That would figure. I found the same info on an Anandtech forum about 2 minutes ago. -- 4 More years and we won't have a country. |
