After unlocking my E242, I did a few port-forward and then my modem died! No way to access it. When I call Bell tech they said that this modem was not working to be a router.<br><br>Can I do port forward with E240? --- but I will not try it anyway as I don't want to broke another modem :o(]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/897703"><b>BWolf6</b></A> : Last Modem: SS 5200 E242<br>Replacement: SS 5200 E240<br><br>Note: Not sure why Sympatico shiped out a older rev. of<br>the 5200 series.<br><br>Modem Setup: Ethernet Connection<br><br>Problem: I've gone through the instructions on the Sympatico<br>FAQ section on howto Telnet to this Modem, but all attempts<br>fails.<br><br>No matter what I try, I can't seem too get any response from<br>the modem via Telnet at all.<br><br>Error: <br>telnet 192.168.2.1<br>Connecting To 192.168.2.1...Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect failed<br><br>Modem IP Confirmed As: 192.168.2.1<br>Config Part#:&#9;003-f093-G0H<br>Firmware Part#:&#9;004-E240-A4R<br><br>(Once again this is a replacement modem just recived today,<br>and has not been messed with (firmware wise at all)<br><br>If anyone could give a helping hand or advice<br>that be great thanks.]]></description>
