Re: [Extreme] rogers kills bittorrent Complain by writing to Rogers! |
|
cmp99 @cpe.net.cable.rogers | The bottom line is that rogers should provide the service that they are offering and that YOU ARE PAYING FOR!!! If they want to limit p2p or network traffic, charge more for the service. Don't limit or throttle your customers who happen to be paying for the the "extreme" service yet not being provided with "extreme" results. It's total bs on Rogers part but the sad part about all this, is that there really isn't a better alternative IMHO. I could be wrong but I haven't seen any other ISP that is better. Rogers however isn't worth paying 55 bucks a month for a service that doesn't provide what they offer. |

 | SOmething stupid, I am wondering about, is it only rogers extreme blocking torrents, or is it all other internet variety, lite ultea lite, etc. services as well. Thanks |

LINCSATPremium join:2003-06-15 Markham, ON | Hi
I am using limewire pro, I called rogers last night, speeds for a 700meg file with a 10 host would be around 80-200 transfer rate it is now 5-15kps. We just signed up 1 month ago, the speeds on the p2p wher fine on tuesday, but now are really low. I spoke to a rogers level 2 tech and he basicly wanted to run tests, I said the speed is fine except when I use limewire. The next sentence was about money and that we are paying for extreme and are getting dail up on p2p, we will be contacted by office of the presidents on tuesday or wednesday, I want my bill adjusted every month until it is back to what I am paying for. I don't think it is too much to ask considering when we are all paying for broadband/extreme! |
