Death2U : Idea is using a system that encrypts like http tunnel though that does require significant settings. Not only are you using port 80 but data to their proxies is encrypted. Try these after you set your BT client to run through it. Max TCP Half Open connections 5 max connections per task 10 max global upload slots 20 Socket start interval 10000 ms. Make sure you temporarily set your browser to use it for some trackers to login to the site so it picks up the IP of the proxy and updates or you may see in the log "Remote Server Rejected Connection" or peer connections may be bad. Those parameters give decent speeds though I have higher ones set by having a traffic shaper running on my pc called cfosspeed. Had it give the app priority and the BT client a little less. I notice some BT clients like to take priority over communications including this app so it helps.

Death2U : Yes many P2P'ers are having same problems, including me with Roadrunner, but it's not impossible to get around. Chances are it is your isp, refer to my other post in regards to a person with a very slow connection that drops out. I mention 2 enemies many ISPs have taken to using. Most isp know better than to block this traffic by ports, as you can always on many apps change listening ports and port you establish a connection on. First, you do not need to download this patch the other person gave you a link to, the 10 TCP connections can be forced to almost any value by registry settings in good connection tweakers suck as Cablenut, one of the best connection tweakers and it should be tweaked. Might want to set RWIN value a bit high as peer to peer connections have tremendous latency. Alot of isps block 80 incoming but allow you to establish connection outbound through it and I recommend listen on 81 and mark 80 for the forwarded port as this will carry transfers. My router seems no prob without ports forwarded. Cap upload to reasonable level, but not as low as you may think, an isp can not easily detect that quickly by your upload that you are using P2P. Instead, and this was best thing I even did is limit max connections per download and limit upload connections. I do 2 per download, which is actually much faster and more reliable for me than having unlimited. Your isp detects P2P by hundreds of connections slamming them at once to 1 IP address. That starts trouble and fast. If you can't connect to network period, these ports should help. Oh yes, I tried a Netenforcer network using P2P and it's the biggest enemy of P2P ever created. You may then have to use a program like http tunnel or similar programs to get past "Packet shaping Technology". Tunnels traffic encrypted through 80 and passes through a server to the right destination(a SOCKS capable proxy, only encrypted) And the connections will slam the proxy, which they endorse P2P on, not your isp's routers. It worked at my friend's dorm even with the college internet, so I know it really really works. But do as I said before as it is better not to run a program to fix a program if you can help it. Good luck to you.

anon : i am having the same exact issue. all of a sudden my p2p apps stopped working. i disabled firewalls and tried it all. still nothing. my limewire does not connect AT ALL ANYMORE. and my kazaa connects when it wants to and stops or doesnt download. what i will try and do is connect directly to the cable modem instead of thru the router and see if all of a sudden it was a network/router issue.
or possibly SHARE files. could be something with limewire itself if you don't share they don't let yu connect anymore. who knows. but i will try them both and see.

jellybeans27 : Hi about two days ago, when i started up limewire as normal, usually it connects almost immeadiately as normal (like its meant to) but this said that I had a firewall, which none were activated at that point and it wouldn't connect. If it connected fully at all then it took about 5-10 mins. When it is connected, whenever i download the sources connect but my download rate NEVER goes above 1kb anymore. I have a 2MB broadband connection and its always worked. I tried another program (Warez) because that always worked for me, they all used to, but Warez does basically the same thing, takes age to connect and downloads at no more than 1kb. Please help, thank you.
