anon : :D Hi Guys,

Just want to let everybody know that I bought a Belkin Wireless G USB F5D7050 ver 3000 last week & it gave me sleepless night last weekend configuring it what's wrong with it. I'm running XP SP2 and drivers that came with the pack are all crap including the drivers in Belkin's website. I have to call their Customer Service at 3.00am since I cannot get through during the day and they were helpful but did not solve the problem.

After following all the procedure my connection still kept dropping. I noticed that the Packets "sent" indicator stayed zero all the time (under wireless status by double clicking the wireless icon in the system tray) while Packets "received" is running. Under this condition, if I use ping command to ping my gateway there were some packets lost. I also experienced that it took a long time for the wireless USB to acquire an IP address.

After exploring more about the drivers in this forum (& other forum as well), I downloaded a driver RT2571W+RT2500 in the Ralink website »www.ralinktech.com/supp-1.htm and all are perfectly working now.

If I'm not back then consider that my connection is working fine. I just can't imagine Belkin is selling these stuff without the right driver. In my opinion, I think someone in Belkin should be placed in firing squad! ;)
