Up on the pole you have power, pots, cabletv - do they not cause interference?
My fault at not looking at the technology, but I just dont see how putting another signal on a power line has to cause all this interference.
The key difference is copper twisted pair and coaxial cable is self-shielding, power lines are not. Any high frequencies you place on them will naturally radiate off. This is why antennas work; any unshielded wire at least a quarter wavelength long radiates into the atmosphere.
