 | Spayed & Neutered People like this should be spayed/neutered. |

 | You guys are lucky you get the speeds that you do. I've been begging my parents to upgrade from our 256k DSL and also to ditch our crappy Actiontec modem for a Linksys router but no because A)It works fine for them and B)Why would we want more speed? . Hell I even offered to make up the difference.
I really really hope that Verizon's FiOS takes off enough that they'll eventually gobble up Qworst or start stringing fiber all over the country not just in the East and West coasts.
If you're listening Verizon people, the first installers on my property get a nice dinner in a good restaurant of their choice on me . |

 | Ok I have Fios, but if Verizon decided to dig fiber to the street behind my house which is another town through my yard, I would cut any fiber they run period.
All I have to say is I'm putting in a ground swimming pool or adding a garage. |
|
 | the bill they would send you for cutting that fiber would make you rethink that statement.
adding a pool or a garage? sweet, thats another fine for not having a building permit or calling the utilities to have them mark their lines. |
|
 | I would set my yard on fire with gasoline , seriously! |

They still have the right of access..it depends on state and local laws. This is'nt a federal issue,so local laws apply. (CABLE ISNT A REGULATED UTILITY) So stop that argument people. It might end up costing you a ton,if they need to access that area ,and you,ve "invested " in it. it's Tango Sierra for you. (no I'm not a lawyer, but i did Stay at a holiday Inn last night ) |

Here is where you are wrong, Grasshopper:
Verizon IS a utility, and as soon as they ship dialtone over that fiber (or even announce their intention to do so) the utility easement applies.
As for that swimming pool, as long as it is OUT of the easement, dig away. But you won't be putting a pool in the easement, or if you do, you will be restoring the easement one way or the other. If you're lucky, maybe Verizon will accept a new easement in another area of the property; if not, time to drain the pool.
And, cutting that fiber WOULD violate the Patriot Act. Here's hoping you don't bunk with Bubba. |

Re: Spayed & Neutered Verzion digged up her yard more then once. So the question would be how many times does verzion need to dig up the lady yard before they get the job done?
She is sick of coming home to a yard full of holes because Verzion doesn't know how to lay cable. |
