Maybe mine is the exception but we use comcast cable internet and every 6 months to a year they UP my speeds. I went to school last year and had to get dsl since I was offered no alternative and I endured much more downtime and reasonably lower speeds with that for a similiar cost to what I pay with Comcast cable.
