i see i'm not the only snappydsl.net user that has been hit with slow speed tests recently.

today was the worst i've ever seen in almost 6 years on dsl. it looks like since snappy downgraded my bridged connection to pppoe, my routing now goes thru miami instead of tampa and miami is not the place to be right now. i have had to find another isp. snappy was good for three years but that was on a bridged connection out of tampa.

Speed_change,
It is plain obvious that something is not right with your dsl service. How about call in to technical support and troubleshooting with one of the Techs ?

Speed does not degrade like this just because of a change in configuration. (by the way your current dsl circuit is still on the original platform !...only the authentication configuration of your router was changed, so as to prepare the circuit for migration to the new platform).

Interesting to see that you picked up on the routing change...via Miami rather than Tampa. However, I hate to tell you this that this change was done about 18 months ago !

what ever happened to the snappydsl connection was not on my end.
after the degradation of service and the explanation of only a 5 cent credit for the switch from bridged service to pppoe, i ordered dsl from bellsouth 2 days ago. the connection was live with bellsouth this morning.
i'm still using the same alcatel sth modem i bought from snappydsl 3 years ago and made no changes to any settings in it. the only change i made was to my smc router this morning to get my new ip from bellsouth and my speeds are faster than anything i ever had with snappydsl.
i hope you are able to fix what ever problem you seem to be having with your service as can be seen by checking on the link in my initial post. i was able to see i was not alone.
thanks for the great service up until this past few weeks.
