I wouldn't say all of that. Even the best manufacturer of almost anything turns out a bad one once in a while.
Exactly. in valencia, the IT department had more than its fair share though... Seems like they eventually had to count on having to ship back one in every five Dells they received simply because they were either D.O.A. or were simply far too problematic.

Secondly, as far as the Ultrasharp 20" displayst hey had... even though they only had one in every room (that there were flat-panels in), I just always noticed them really blurry, even compared to the 15/17(?)" standard lcd monitors they had on the others (at least in the rooms they did bring in new systems in - some of them still had CRT's that were already starting to lose focus on Dell P3's ). It was just disconcerting because though I liked sitting in front of one for the larger screen "real estate", the weak text quality on them always distracted me more than I appreciated.

And even the few dell flat-panels that I do see in person every now and again sine school have really bad ghosting issues. My brother's current gateway 15" flat panel has a row of stuck pixels on the right side of the screen that are a solid pink (!!!). I could understand white, or black, or a primary color (R/G/B), but pink? even I couldn't make that one up if I wanted to.
