Jacksonville, FL | Lower TCO I would like to know who sponsored Ian Gillott's TCO research on EV-DO. As they say, "follow the money".
There is no white paper on his website, no links on where this study can be found. I want to know who funded it before I take it as gospel.
Also the article only said TCO for EV-DO was compared to smartphones. There is a huge difference between someone getting a data feed on an always-on phone and someone pulling a laptop out of a bag and booting up. People simply don't carry laptops "always-on" at their hip.
Linking this EV-DO research with recent laptop integration announcements is a reach at best. Apples & Oranges. |
