| That was my thought too. I'd have to be in the 83% group, if for no other reason than I've already bought the equipment to get around watching the ads.
Now if it was cut and dry, $1.99 or watch commercials.....well I might just rent more movies.

I believe the 30 sec skip isn't going to be around much longer if the content providers get their way. I'd prefer product placement anyway to annoying ads.

Even my old Sony VCR has a 30 second "skip" function, so that's nothing new, either.
There's precious little on TV worth $1.99 anyway.
The bigger "pink elephant" is that Apple has managed to figure out yet another way to milk it's faithful cow herd. Who in their right mind would pay for this crap?

Whats free? You pay for the signal unless you use rabbit ears or you are an electronics buff and you still have to watch the ads. Then premium TV costs extra to watch the show without ads. |

Being that the majority of programming I watch is OTA HD...that is pretty much what I use.

even if you get like 5-6 OTA HD stations, they are probably decent channels with everything you would want to watch.

Corona, CA | I get way more than 6 OTA...closer to 15 or so. Major networks here run multiple HD channels and all of the networks have digital counterparts.
ABC here for instance has their regular network programming, an all news channel and a weather channel. Same with NBC. Our PBS channels run their local feed, plus a national feed. OTher PBS channels, operated by universities operate up to 6 channels each with various programming. Not everything HD of course but all digital and most pretty good.
