I could see this for sports.

The only way I could see this working would be for sports; like golf, football, racing, and baseball or basketball. Other than that though I would not pay extra.

Edit: and for the whole SHOW not just the highlights like iTunes has right now for college football.

The major sports have been trying to figure out a way to go pay-per-view for a long time. People are just too used to getting the games for free. Remember when NBC put the Olympics on pay-per-view and charged about $200 for it? There was also a season or two when all of the NHL playoff games were on pay-per-view only. Turns out nobody wanted to pay to watch it at home so droves of people showed up at their local bar to watch the games.
