Not such a great deal

The new price is good for six months; when the offer expires, customers would be charged whatever rate is in effect at that time. The $14.99 deal is for the "express" level of service, which allows connection speeds of up to 1.5 megabits per second. AT&T's $14.99-a-month deal is only for customers who ... have AT&T local phone service.
It only lasts for 6 months and you have to have AT&T local phone service as well. It isn't that good of an offer.

It lasts only for 6 months, but you can resign for a low rate after the 6 months.

You have to have AT&T local phone to get DSL. You have to have Comcast cable TV to get cable internet (or pay more for your cable internet all on its own). You have to have local phone service to get just about any DSL and cable TV to get cable internet or at least a lower price on your cable internet. Most cable providers jack the price up if you don't have cable tv.

Isn't that good of an offer? How about you let your wallet decide if that extra speed is worth the extra $25-$30 a month. DSL is rock solid in my area, and worth it.
