In all fairness, RCN has given a number of free speed increases over the years. Used to be 1500/800, then they made a $10/m extra 3000/800 tier then they bumped the 1.5s to 3 and the 3s to 5 then they bumped the 3s to 5 and the 5s to 7 then they bumped the 5s to 7 and the 7s to 10 (all for free) They're going to be rolling out a 20/2 tier soon, it's still uncertain whether it will be another free upgrade or cost more. We can only hope.

While I'd be very appreciative of this sort of speed upgrades, wake me up please when my broadband has monthly costs more like the Asians are enjoying on a $/mbit/s basis. I have a feeling you can just call me van Winkle.
