| Starforce Malware As a computer technician myself, I would NOT recommend anyone use or install software that uses starforce protection. Not only does it cause certain software applications to malfunction, but other games/applications may not run properly if it is installed by another game. -- Current Custom Tronix Mini-Gamer PC:EVGA 133-K8-NF43, AMD XP 64 3200+, 2x512 DDR Memory in Dual-Channel mode, 2x Diablotek nVidia GF 6600 w/512 MB DDR2, WD RAPTOR 10k RPM SATA-150, 16x DVD-ROM, 600W PSU, Mid-Tower Dragon Case ~$1235 + S&H |

As a network engineer with experience in reverse engineering (like this matters) I would suggest people ignore you and just carry on as they are. The amount of people who have Starforce products running just fine outnumber those with issues *potentially* due to the protection by about 10,000 to 1.
Try decompiling the way the thing works before you comment on it or start quoting posts from what is basically a board dedicated to copying Starforce (so full of warez monkeys all upset because it's good at what it does). It does do some slightly weird stuff but it's fundamentally stable. |
