Re: Are they throttling port 1720 and 1755 now? My speeds dropped too. 1720/1755 don't work anymore!...I wonder if there's a way to get around it this time |
 | Using Azereus ... getting 190k - 250 on 1720.
It all depends on the swarm if your connection is slow.
My 2 cents |

 | reply to TKI my god these stupid bitches.... any1 found a way yet to get around it... im usin bitcomet with the encryption im in scarborough - nielson and ellesmere area |

TKI @cpe.net.cable.rogers | reply to TKI sigh this sucks, i dont really wanna switch to bell.. i'm quite happy with rogers but very pissed at how they're treating bittorrent bandwidth. if anyone finds a way to get around this crap please post how. |
 | I would love to leave Rogers, but I can't yet. Please someone come up with some way around this. I've been downloading a few files for a month (they are almost 8 gigs each) and I am at about 96% on a couple, and can't finish them. I am so pissed that I can't find the words to convey it properly. |

 | reply to TKI Well I can dearly say that the ports don't work for me and I live in an area where BT is soley why everyone got broadband and now it sucks that they've seemed to throttle the ports. |

 | reply to TKI you know what I find ironic? Sympaticos Agreement Contract has less terms than Rogers. UGH!! Its as if Ted deemed for this day dragging people into the 15% better choice bundles so he could lock us into a 2 year deal. |
 | Sigh.... i don't download hollywood movies, and no software, and maybe get 7-8 games mostly not available in north america a year.... all i care about is anime which in majority of the cases are not even licensed in north america. And rogers still wanna block me for this. |

fasda @cpe.net.cable.rogers | reply to TKI utorrent O_o... i have bitcomet and have 1755 open and set protocol header encrypt to always... but my speed still sux... 10 kb/s down with like more than 700 peers... and same i jsut wanna dl animes... mostly which arent even liscensed... can we sumhow complain to BBB or sumtin.. make them act fairly towards customers.. accuse them of censhoreship by not allowing to use the net fully |
TKI @cpe.net.cable.rogers | reply to TKI damnit, this is seriously the last straw for rogers, guess im gonna have to call bell on monday if this persists until then. |
 | reply to TKI Seriously, I think I will just take the 3 months free offer from Future Shop for Bell High Speed Internet. Yeah ... They r offering Bell Sympatico for 3 months free with every purchase. Think about it and perhaps this is the time to leave Rogers. I hate Rogers so much now! I used to use Cogeco b4 I moved back to TO. I have no problem with them at all. Rogers sucks!!! Asking for more than 40 bucks per month with only one ip address and whole bunch of limitations. This is just not cool man! |
 | reply to TKI
can't even switch to bell |
TKI @cpe.net.cable.rogers | reply to TKI the high speed ultra is available in my area, just to make sure... bell does NOT throttle any torrent activity whatsoever, right? |
