Re: Are they throttling port 1720 and 1755 now? I don't think it's just areas where they don't have VOIP subscribers - I'm at Danforth and Broadview and I'd be very surprised if there wasn't any VOIP in this area.
And, yes, my BTs suck huge today as well. -- Therapy is expensive. Bubble wrap is free. |

 | I worked in tech suport for a major OEM years ago. We got 15$ a call for every call over 2 minutes for home users. 30 to 50$ or more for high end business calls on the big iron. We got in trouble if the client called back in a brief period especially if the problem wasn't fixed. If Rogers is getting on your nerves remember this when you call. Every time you stay on over 2 minutes they pay. Someone please anon post what it costs per call.;)
So don't think it has no effect. That is a carefully designed illusion. It must be at least 10$ per tech support call. Call 10 times and Ted is out 100$.TEd complains, the outsourcers get reamed for not fixing the problem in a timely manner. They demand more money for better quality support, Rogers demands quicker solutions to problems. And on and on,...
I am devilishly evil aren't I?
