This is industry "wishful thinking"...but won't stick.

Price rises won't stick... competition is looming more than ever.

Between WiFi, WiMax, 3G, Cable, FIOS, BPL, and Muni-Wifi I think you'll find there will be plenty of leverage to keep DSL prices in check.

They might think the honeymoon is over after having "culled the mass of dial up users". But the price sensitivity is such that they better be careful...no, folks won't go back to dialup. But they'd rather be wireless anyway...and that option is coming on strong in the same footprint that DSL has made.
