Re: Can't connect to DG834G router

Thanks, I'll try that this evening.

I tried the "long" reset, and it did seem to force the router to run some sort of self-test or routine or something. Lots of flashing lights that eventually settled down to all the correct steady green ones anyway.

But I still can't connect to the web configuration page. 192.168.0.1, the suggested default address, doesn't take me anywhere.

I've tried it on two different PCs with the same lack of results. I'm going to try a different ethernet cable tomorrow, but I don't think it's that, as my network connection seems to be OK...apart from the fact that I can't connect to anything.

I'm slowly resigning myself to having to buy a new router, but I'd rather not if there's anything else I can try...?

Is the router's Power and Check light blink alternatingly after firmware upgrade???? I would suggest you to try the utility one more time. If the problem is still there, then you need to get a replacement router. Also, a reset of the device for 25-30 secs can also solve this kind of issue.

The power and check lights blink alternately after I've done the "long" reset, until I switch it off and on again. I'll try the utility again this evening. Thanks for the response.
