Thanks for the pics, Kabanos. I went to the author's site and he didn't have any so I didn't bother to check out the extension. Now that I've seen the pics it's what I wanted to see and will install the extension.

The new version 0.1.1 now supports the latest version of Thunderbird as well. I am working on incorporating some more features requests that I am reading in the comments. Thanks for all the feedback and will continue making this better =) Thanks. -TL

I personally believe that Fx should've had this functionality built in to the check for updates part of the program. Better yet, they should include a restart option and present a notice to the user that a theme or extension has been updated, please click ok to restart Firefox now.
In the meantime, that should be included in this extension, along with a selectable update interval. |

Considering the multiple sites that handle extensions and themes then each developer posting their update to any number of locations takes a little time to migrate through the system.
Grabbing extensions and themes early is not always a wise thing as more then once an update has been announced and made available through alternate means then pulled for bugs before it was officially released.
Now the users in a hurry to update having buggy versions and are asking a million questions as to why they are having problems. lol

1 edit | Yes the notifier will show up when an update is available if you have it checked to hide the button.
The option to hide the button is just if you do not want the buttons to always show on the toolbar. A space saver so to speak.
