Ease of support and claims on ads drives ISP software - far more than your system's integrity.<br><br>But if you can't say something nice about something, say nothing... so...<br><br>That stuff probably matches support scripts best... :-)]]></description>

Some people have had their PC's software corrupted due to conflicts, etc. <br><br>Your best bet is to make sure you don't connect your PC(s) directly to the dsl modem - get a firewall/router first.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/372021"><b>Doctor Olds</b></A> : You do not need to install any software to use Earthlink (Dial-up or ADSL) and if you already have programs that you use for email and for security then you should stick with what works** for you (**as long as that means you are running a Firewall and Anti Virus software that is updated and active).  You do not have to place the Total Access CD into your PC at all. Any suggestions ?<br><br>I use several security softwares that I find to work very well.
