Why anyone would want this service which will likely cost more then traditional POTS anyway because of all the extra 'features' is the question to ask.
If you want to make broadband phone calls go get a VOIP provider.
"Sexing up" the failing POTS revenue stream/business model is EXACTLY what's happening here and lord help ya if you ever need to make an E911 call...
