Okman join:2001-10-01 92714 | oh STOP the Chinese bashing!!! they have over 1 billion people, and they are a growing power, and you feeble people can hate them all you want, but recognize that there is a whole new world asides from the States and if you dont like it, then don't enter. Simple, no? |

I don't hate the Chinese people, I don't even hate their atrocious gov't (which BTW, most chinese dislike their own gov't), I merely HATE the policies this quasi-communist ruling authority decides to make and enforce. I could care less how many people there are, does simple numerical majority make right? How about when 99.99% (which leaves 100,000 people to be part of the gov't) of that population have NO say in their governing body? As for being a new world, China has been around for a lot longer than most other regions/countries, I wouldn't call them a "whole new world" -- The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. It is it's natural manure. The "Tree of Liberty" letter From Thomas Jefferson to William Smith |

 | reply to Okman I take it you're a subject of the Chinese nation? Only a person from there would take criticism of the CCP to be "China bashing" what with the CCP being the true party of China and all. |

Simple, no? You must have your head where the light does not shine. China is a totalitarian government that dictates how, what and when its people can think or read. The only reason they are doing this is to stifle free thought and discussion. It has nothing to do with ICAAN. That is China's feeble rationale. China will block or filter content out of and into China based on the controlling communist party line. The sooner the rest of the world wakes up and quits helping the Chinese with one sided business dealings the better it will be for everyone. China needs us more than we need them. They use basically slave labor to produce products that are cheap and don't want their slaves to be able to see what is happening in the rest of the world. |

 | reply to wcweaver If China cut off the rest of the world from all of the products and resources China brings to the the world then you would realise how wrong you are.
If China needs the world so much then why has the US granted it favoured nation status dispute the abuses and government policies? |

"There are few problems that can't be solved by the appropriate use of high explosives." -- "Regulatory capitalism is when companies invest in lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians, instead of plant, people, and customer service." - former FCC Chairman William Kennard (A real FCC Chairman, unlike the current Corporate Spokesperson in the job!) |
