Basicly the whole ICANN situation is just an excuse China is using to do this. They are not only setting up their own root servers, but they are using existing TLDs, this is just a way for them to censor the Internet withing their country. And, yes, I do agree that news and information is censored here (USA) and every other country, but China takes in to an entirely new level. They aren't just cutting out ICANN, they are cutting out the entire world.
