| Chinese Mind Control-Verizon is Taking a Lesson What is obvious is that the Chinese government wants to control the flow of information to it's citizens. Information is power and look at what has happened to the world in countries that previously practiced mind control. Case in point the Soviet Union is gone. Why because they couldn't control the flow of information. China will implode on itself. The old communist farts will die off, and Hong Kong will certainly not toe the line. Also they are going to have one hell of a time since unfortunately for them the cat is already out of the bag! What I find amazing is that a handful of senile old men can control a country of over 1 billion inhabitants. It must be the fluoride So to, sooner or later the 1 billion Chinese need to step up to the plate and decide for themselves..Mind Control or Freedom. Now I wonder how long it will take a clever hacker to hack into one of those Chinese DNS servers. If only we could engage them to do something useful we might see the amount of spam drop. What a thought.
Fast forward. The Internet as we know it today may be in for a change. Our very own Verizon Mind Police now want to control what information we see. All I want to buy is the pipe. Which in case Verizon doesn't understand, we the tax payers have already paid for several times over, not to mention the monthly offering many drop at Verizon's altar. I don't mind the monthly payments. They can charge what they see fit for various levels of access and I can choose how fast I want to go. If they want to provide TV like cable fine, line up and negotiate with each community, just like Comcast and other cable outfits have done in the past. I would welcome it if the gave Comcast some competition. But VERIZON READ THIS!! I don't want Verizon to control where I go, which search engine I see and what content I read first. Google should not pay anything. Let's see how long Verizon customers hang around without unfettered access to Google, or for that matter any other web site! Verizon wants to control the content and the pipe. My response to them is take your pipe and shove it where the sun does not shine. |
