| Keep it up Verizon This is no surprise with VOL's new 768k/128k tier for only 14.95/month and standard 3Mbps/768Kbps for only 29.95/month, they will continue to chip away at cable. Especially since OOL chargers 44.95/month here with caps. -- Spread Opera! The fast, sleek, and feature-rich browser! »opera.com |

 | VOL's tiers would both feel like dial up to me.(granted there would be no diff in light web browsing, but no comparison if your downloading a big file) I have OOL and Ive never been capped. 44.95/month for 15/2 is better than 3/768 for 30, less than twice the price, yet 5 times the speed. When you add what Verizon charges for phone service and the dsl, it probably comes out to more than what OOL charges for a faster internet and Optimum Voice VOIP. |

1 edit | VOL offers naked dsl, a landline is not required. And I'm referring to people that don't make a lot of huge downloads. As long as webpages load in a second and I can download something pretty fast, I'm satisfied. I hardly download 100MB+ files. And in the few occasions I do, it is still very fast, taking only 3 seconds per MB. Money is the most important thing, and I'm saving a bundle. Plus 15/2 optonline ain't even available in my area, and I don't have to worry about caps. Also fios will be here fairly soon, so the possibilities are endless. I will be getting 5/2 for the same price I pay now, it is fantastic. -- Spread Opera! The fast, sleek, and feature-rich browser! »opera.com

For the growing number of people who don't need landlines, even offering DSL at $15 is no bargain when the cost of the $30+ a month telegraph line is added. -- Rove / Rumsfeld 2008! |

2 edits | The TOS is either out of date or is referring to the 14.95 package. Verizon offers naked dsl for 3Mbps/768Kbps. »www22.verizon.com/forhomedsl/cha···dryloop/
Also note the screenshot as proof. That is the page for ordering verizon voicewing (not required for naked dsl) and read the line I circled.

The shot I put up was from the www.verizon.com/dsl and does refer to the $14.95 package. The cheapest non-telegraph-line-required DSL is $20 a month. Hmm... it might be time for me to switch? -- Rove / Rumsfeld 2008! |

Yup:D Yea... but I hate Verizon, everyone here knows it... every day I wake up thinking about more ways to hate Verizon. | reply to ace41690 Save for those people who download pr0n 24/7, 3/768 is more than adequate at the moment. I'd much rather pay $15 less instead of have the extra speed that I won't use. |
