TWC to buy CV? No way...

... such deal will be OK'ed by FCC. In such case most of NYC will be covered by a single cable provider - and it's already sux that despite "opened cables" they do not compete nor serve on each others area everywhere in the city.

I have to disagree, especially given the presence of Verizon and RCN. Besides, there have never been geographic ownership limits placed on MSOs, only the aggregate ownership limits that apply at a national level.

Why wouldn't it be okays, they don't compete with each other now what difference would it make? The only people that get screwed in these mergers are employees and business who have one less national provider. But for the general customer does it really matter. If they really want to break up these companies, how about breaking them into 2 companies in each area that compete against each other instead of giving each a monopoly over customers in there respective areas. What do i care if ATT is huge they could gouge the general customers already as they had no wireless comp any way? Same goes for cable companies. How stupid is it to give half of NYC to TWC and the other to Cablevision. Wouldn't it make sense to make them compete against each other?
