Power levels
I dealt with this a few years ago with my wife. My research indicated that cell phone signals are about 20x stronger than WiFi. Anyone know anything different?

Most cell phones top out at 600mw. Most wifi transceivers top out at 100mw (but you're not likely to see one actually running at 100mw without smoke wafting off the radio)
However with a cell phone you usually place it next to your head. since the intensity drops at the square of the distance, 2-3 feet or more (more typical of wi-fi) makes a a big difference in the cumulative radiation you receive. I don't favor adding wifi or other RF ANYWHERE due to the added RF, UNLESS wired is not possible/impractical. but these parents would do better to take the kids cellphones away (or severely limit their use/on-time.) also taking the stereo out of the kids car, enforcing basic good driving rules, will probably save more lives than this will.
