Whats the holdup??

What is the holdup? I'm sure Sony wanted to get an autopsy of the Xbox 360 before they got too far along in production of the PS3. However, if Sony is able to 1 up (pun intended) the 360 in performance, it won't be by that much. There are PlayStation fans, then there are XBox fans. The XBox fans have got their mits on a 360 and the PlayStation fans are stuck playing a PS2 for a few more months. I don't think a huge chunk of the console market is waiting on a PS3 release. True gamers have very limited attention spans and are eager to get their hands on the latest and greatest. They are also broke. So they may have bought the 360 because they just couldn't wait on a "next gen" console. That means they probably won't be in the market for a new console by the time the PS3 is released because they already blew their small savings on a 360. The money to be had is not with the consoles, its with the games. Kinda like giving away razors and charging $10 for razor blades. So I think Sony could be hurting around launch time because Microsoft will be knee deep in game sales when Sony is trying to get their console sold. I'm going to go play my 360 now.
