This could really change things

Well for me this could really change things.

I was waiting on the PS3 to get a new HD TV (likely a Sony), and to jump into Next-Gen at the same time.

Since it looks like it might be a while I think I might just get a 360 to play now. Wait on TV prices to come down some (as long as I get the HD before football season).

Once I already have a 360 the PS3 will have to be really AMAZING in order for me to buy it. When the choice was 360 now or PS3 in a few months (at I was guessing $500) I chose PS3. But once I already have a 360... Well that will be a much harder sell.

If Sony loses the Blue-Ray battle after all they have put into it, they could be crippled (not just for this division, but overall). The longer they wait, and the higher thier price the more they risk losing that battle, not just the console battle.

If this doesn't go well for them, I will lose a lot of confidence in thier overall performance.
