 | I believe their billing is in advance.
There are no prorated, or partial month, refunds as far as I know, but you can always argue that there was significant downtime associated with your switchover, and all such periods of outages/non-service in the past have resulted in credit for a full months service.
If you have a few months left on a pre-paid contract, you may get a prorated refund for whole un-used months left on your prepaid contract. There should be no early termination fee since Cyberonic unilaterally cancelled your MCI service.
If you are a month to month subscriber and interested in cancelling service before your Covad trial period expires, your switchover date is the controlling date for tolling the trial. So if you prepaid your monthly fee for March in February, and your actual switch over date was during March, your trial period ends on the twenty-fifth day from the date of your switchover, which may be in March or April. If your switchover date was in February, your trial will end in March, and you have prepaid for March. Do not pay for April if you are considering cancelling before your trial period ends. I'd follow Hal666's recommendation as far as your credit card authorization is concerned. |
RealoRcPremium join:2003-01-25 Brooklyn, NY | I looked at the old Digizip bills and they are billed in advance. So the latest bill I got is 03/15/2006 which should be for 03/15/2006-04/14/2006. I got switched over to Cyberonic on 03/06/2006. So I shouldn't even receive this dsl charge. I can forget about the 8 day difference from 03/06/2006 to 03/14/2006. |
