FiLPremium join:2005-08-16 Silver Spring, MD | hell yea! Now I can pay 300 bucks to play games introduced in the early 90's! Altered Beast's gonna need a helluve rig to be played on! Hell yea, way to go technology!
Nintendo's official "gettin teh hell out of the console wars!" move was vey smart but changed alot of customers views about the company, obviously. They most definatly dont got the, sorry to say, BALLS to keep up with the needs of gamers today. Ya'll remember teh gray blood in Mortal Kombat? From that day on, my impression of anything Nintendo was soft, kiddy riddled pastel hell to the end.
Yea, you can say Nintendo turned into a family company, but the Sega thing shows their age, and their commitment to putting out a subpar product, rakin' in the cash to offset the system manufacturing, then sitting lazy, putting out one "classic" every OTHER year.
The entire Sega and Nintedo library is already available, just get yourself a tiny emulator, and game on. This is another pet peeve of mine regarding Nintendo; its seems like they do everything in their power to avoid bringing out new technology that would enhance their system AND sales.
Yall stick to your Nintega, I'll stick to my 3-d hi rez stuff...noobz-izz-orzzzz |

 | 'Get yourself a tiny emulator and game on' - isn't that illegal? Further, I can sit a child down in front of these classics and not be concerned with the content of the games. Most of these classic titles are just good clean fun. My ten year old sister could not be expected to learn how to work with emulators and roms (much less go hunting warez sites to download them), but I guarantee that she will be able to grasp stepping through Nintendo's menus. |

 | reply to FiL So you are telling me that they avoid new technology??? Just because they understand more memory and more cpu power doesn't make the game does not mean they are avoiding new technology. This download service is nothing but a service for their customers. Its not the sole reason for buying this system. They are still developing new games using the power of their new system. Nintendo is also trying out a new style of controller that will recognize the controllers movement when interacting with the game.
At least Nintendo is trying something different and trying to bring new life to gaming with fresh ideas and not trying to pump out more graphics and rehashed shells of games and stating they are the best. And to top it off, they are giving us a way to play some of the great games of old for cheap as a nice cherry on top. I know where my money is going. |

1 edit | Re: hell yea!(all in ones suck) Nintendo rev is just not for retro games the joystick for instance is a whole leap of new technology have you even bother to even check it out(dmvcincy) plus rev is strictly a video game not a mulitimedia player like 360 and ps3(which you need a hdtv to get full potential) it's for gamers not people that want to check their email or download tunes to their 500$ media hub and 2500$ hdtv why do you think the DS is killing psp in sales cause gamers want a dedicated video game not a mulitimedia player cause they tend to lose creativity in making games (umds for psp outsells games for that system so they just port most of the games over from ps2) |
