FiLPremium join:2005-08-16 Silver Spring, MD | not so... like you were already told, through THEIR own laws, emulators are legal...As for your retarded threat majorTom, go ahead and do what you want...Who teh hell said anything about a site? NOOB!
This whole argument of how -Tendo is trying "new things" is getting old. id love to see you play Mario World with that retarded joystick contraption...and to those that ll brush taht off by saying theyll get a controller that fits their gaming needs, haaaa! Thats another, what, 50-80 bucks down the drain.
I take taht "nintendo doesnt know what its doing" comment back. Their gonna make a killing with all these retro games! They know its damn near impossible to play Blades of Steel with the controller that comes with the system. So, you got the paid-for download of the retro game, you cant play or its uncomfortable playing with the new controller, so you go out an buy another peripheral. All I see Nintendo doing is herding you guys into buying more crap. Looks like big-business tactics to me! |

 | 1. the console will likely come with a number of "shell" units for the controller that allow play of games with different control schemes.
2. As for not being able to play blades of steel, turn the controller 90 degrees counter-clockwise and voila, instant NES controller. |

 | reply to FiL Not so indeed. It seems that there are a good number of misconceptions people seem to have. First of all, check IGN and Gamespot for pricing on Rev. Ppl here are saying $200, $250, $300... but Ninty execs are shooting for a $99 console price tag. Nintendo's goal is to make things affordable, much more than I can say for M$ or the new $800 Play$tation. I'm a mother of 3 young kids. I work full time. No gaming system is worth that to me, I really could care less how much the graphics "pwn". I could get a Rev + controllers for all my kids + peripherals for less than a single 360 with a single controller and a single game (that I probably wouldn't want my kids to play anyway)
And if you hadn't noticed, if you turn the Rev controller sideways, it IS an NES controller. No peripherals needed. Plus, the nunchaku extension will be included with the startup package.
You want a controller that fits YOUR gaming needs? I'll bet you have an overpriced WIRELESS controller for your overpriced Xbox. Guess whose idea that was? Let's think for a minute...If you don't like Nintendo's innovation then you can get off your couch and sit on the floor within 6 feet of your system (if you're lucky, maybe you have a beanbag)
I don't like to be nasty, but Fil, your attitude really sucks. Not liking Nintendo's games or ideas is one thing, but you have this really negative attitude. If you don't have a positive opinion of the products, you don't have to launch around insults at the people around here that do. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Even you. But the more respectful you are, the more respect you're likely to get. |

Take a looksie at the the controller FiL. It's designed so that it can be turned sideways, and guess what? You get a classic NES controller... perfect for playing Blades of Steel and other NES and SNES games. |

 | im sry guys but what none of you really know is that the revolution will still have gamecube controllers that are able to be used
(not all of the games made by the revolution will support that controller because not many games have the use for that except for zelda twilight princess and sword fighting)
ok from what ive been seeing u have a lot of more mature people saying the nintendo is dumb, and a lot of parents saying the 360 and ps3 are too expensive.... let me just break this down to u guys
Nintendo = Family console (they have even stated many times they are not competing with ms and sony... bcuz they would never win that war no matter how many orig games of mario could be pumped out.... so that makes them look at a lower price tag and they are the only company able to really use the old day games since they are the only ones from the old days left making consoles (then again sega is saying they are rejoining the console market)
MS and Sony = More mature and more of a pc gamer needs (all they need left is ability to use keyboard and mouse for fps)which has good graphics and.... stream stuff i guess (ive had my 360 and all ive done so far is play games and or change the background on my dashboard) ... pretty much u cant play oblivion on pc unless u have a 400$ video card and low and behold.. the 360 costs 400$ >>
all i can say is technically microsoft hasnt added anything different than what they had in the xbox into the 360... woot u can stream ur mp3's on the console and they playing other songs than listening to the games music.. its called turning up your stereo while playing... oh no u can stream videos too (if u pay for the 150$ software also)
the ps3 will prolly have no other extra features compared to the 360 (useful features.. dont talk to me about the useless 3 gigabit ports on the back of it.. im sry but i dont buy a game system to be transformed into a gigabit hub and all it does it makes it cost more) but there is an advantage to having nintendo and a ps3 or 360... the systems will have different games
basically to all the people who are dissing nintendo bcuz they arent adding new functions.. im sry but they are with the new controller and the final product isnt out yet so how do u know that they dont give u a free controller with it.. and if anyone has a gamecube... they dont even need to buy another controller because the gamecube controllers can be put into the revolution |
