Troy, NY | I can believe this. Unlike Microsoft and Sony, which are looking to "own the media experience" with machines that can do everything but tell you who'll get "offed" on The Sopranos next week, Nintendo has been adamant about being a pure gaming company. This focus allows them to release a pared-down, less-expensive console designed to do just that- play games.
I'm more or less out of the console market... but believe me, I would never have bothered using the PS2 or XBox to play anything other than games.
