Shoot, we should all live underground nowadays because the sun also increases our change to get cancer.
Being born dramatically increases your chance to get cancer, but I don't see anyone regretting it.
When I was young, I used to play with these roof tiles made out of asbestos and I have yet to get cancer anywhere. |

Smart people think about things like this. Why don't you go walk out into a highway? Because you know that it will probably kill you or seriously injure you. What is the difference with a cell phone? These studies are here so people know the DANGERS of using a cell phone over the years. No one is saying stop enjoying life. By all means, this isn't anything "new." Just information for the person who is smart enough to consider ways to counteract it. You get one life, with an attitude like yours you might as well not live.

I do said by R4M0N:I can get hit by a car tomorrow or die of food poisoning on the next party I go to. Right, but, accept the things you can't change, but change the things you can. Limiting exposure to any energy sources is still always a good idea.
Shoot, we should all live underground nowadays because the sun also increases our change to get cancer. The sun's nothing to be afraid of, people just shouldn't be stupid about it. Exposure may increase chance of skin cancer, but it helps protect against other, more dangerous types of cancer.
Being born dramatically increases your chance to get cancer, but I don't see anyone regretting it. Not sure how you can increase something from when it didn't exist, but...
When I was young, I used to play with these roof tiles made out of asbestos and I have yet to get cancer anywhere. Asbestosis is a pulmonary fibrosis, not cancer. But it's just as bad as emphysema tho..I greatly limit my exposure, for one because a lot of data really isn't known, which is partly because those that have it have no interest in disclosing it..
I know I want to live as long healthily as I can. I try to make choices like fish, coffee, tea, guinness, exercise, etc. in addition to limiting unnecessary exposure in order to lower my risk which is too high from lifestyle choices, let alone family history |

Re: Who Cares? said by Scilicet:The sky is falling! Can a few tenths of a watt of field strength really cause brain tumors. Come on! If you don't believe me go ask your local RF exposure expert. From my knowledge, YES it can over time. Is it guaranteed? NO. It probably just increases your chance of cancer. And please, stop saying stupid things like "The Sky is Falling." This is a serious topic. The average person isn't going to get cancer (probably) but if you are the type of person who uses a phone for long periods each day, then I would try to do something about it. It's just like you can exercise and keep yourself in good condition and still eat that hamburger and fries everyday. But you still might die of clogged arteries. Like the other guy said, we all have to die of something. But I plan on living, so I try to prevent things. Of course, I'm barely use a cell phone anyway so I doubt I will have any problems.

1. I'm smart enough not to play with radioactive materials. 2. I'm smart enought not to rig a microwave so it works with its door open. 3. I'm smart enought not to play with Methanol.
All of those are proven to cause harm. Cell phones? Well, it's still inconclusive. To compare a cell phone to a highway is a bit of a stretch isn't it? Smart people can see the difference. |

We're not talking about cell phones here, we're talking about RF exposure. I don't care if the RF exposure comes from your cell phone or out of your ass. RF exposure is RF exposure, end of story.

Now THAT'S RF exposure, but my cell phone is not a satellite dish so I'm not going to worry about it too much. Even if I do use it for long periods, the only warmth I feel is from the battery discharging. |

A little RF exposure over a long period of time is just as bad as a lot of RF exposure in a little period of time.

So much for all that RF exposure, huh? |

Like I said before, having a low powered transmitter a foot from your head is not going to cause anywhere near the amount of problems that a transmitter ON your head will. Usually people don't walk around with wifi routers on the side of their heads. -- »www.hello-radio.org/
