Cell Phone Cancer

That's the reason my dad doesn't and probably will never own a wireless phone.(Other than the 3 watt "Handsfree" BagPhone that Onstar uses through VZW AMPS.)I personally think there are a lot of factors involved, such as specific phone models, type of signal, and even the frequency. Because even at the same TX/RX power a 1900mhz phone would have a harder time penetrating your skull than a 850mhz. I'd be willing to bet that these tests were mostly tested on GSM 900mhz, and if you used the UTMS 2100mhz spectrum, then the percent should drop considerably. Either that or they were using data that was started years ago, back in the AMPS days. Who I feel bad for, are the people who first tested AMPS, when they didn't know much about the harmful effects of high wattage RF, and tested something like a 5 or 10 watt phone.

Another alternative, that I haven't saw listed yet, would be the use of a plug-in external antenna. Such as the quality ones made by Wilson Cellular. I use them in my car and at my house. It gives the phone better reception, and it helps on battery life, because it doesn't have to work as hard trying to keep service, which makes the phone produce more power, therefore making it more dangerous. Also for my car, having the external antenna stops the annoying GSM/GPRS/EDGE timeslot buzz through my stereo.

But, worrying too much about stuff isn't good for you either. I know too many people who let every little thing they hear or see bother them, and they are stressed out a lot, and that's just as bad as RF through your head, or chicken feces fed to cows, or whatever else that will kill us. Hell, we are all going to die someday, so we might as well enjoy the life we have left.
