ylen131 : i am sure a lot of you didn't see this comment posted by someone that says they work as tech support for dslextreme

"A DSLX employee view

I think this thread is hilarious. I find it funny that it was linked on bluesnews. It's also ironic that I work at DSL extreme. We suspected that things were going to change once we found out we were bought out by Ikono. If they are getting money for doubleclicks, I can assure you we (DSLX employees)are not benefiting at all from this financially. Our motto still stands " Welcome to dslx, where the tech support isn't in India, but we get paid like we are". Seriously though, we are well below industry standard for what the average tech salaries is. I thought that being bought by a big corporation would increase our salaries. In Utah, Ikono pays their dial up techs almost twice as much as us. So far it looks like this acquisition will do nothing to change our crap salaries.

But I digress, what I originally meant to say is that the average tech you speak to @ DSLX, has no control over this kinda crap. The email response that someone posted earlier is what we were told, though some of us know what is really up. All Ikono wants is the DSLX brand. In a couple months, they'll probably can the entire lot of us and move the entire operation to Utah. Because It looks like all they want to do , is make money from us and not put a dime back in. Anyways, just my 2 cents. This is usually the last forum I'd post on, since I deal with customer's net problems all day. But I felt a different perspective was needed"

»A DSLX employee view
